Topsy-turvy tussle leaves Midhurst at end of their Wick
Twice in the first few minutes Midhurst should have scored when first Gary Norgate then Liam Dreckman spurned good goalscoring positions.
With 15 minutes gone Wick who opened the scoring when Ross Adams received a pinpoint pass from Joe Mathews and keeper Ian Knight was unable prevent a goal.

Hide AdWick went further ahead when Ted Griffin took a pass from Mathews and placed his shot well clear of Knight.
The Midhurst defence were looking unsure of themselves and Wick were finding openings.
After the restart Midhurst applied themselves with more enthusiasm after a team talk from manager Gary Wheatcroft.
On the hour Midhurst brought on Michael Asare for James Wills. The change perked up the Stags and Ollie Pearce headed just over the bar with the Wick keeper stranded.

Hide AdGood fortune came Midhurst’s way when George Hotson attempted a clearance which he headed into his own goal to make the score 2-1.
Now Midhurst were a different side and the odds on a positive result shortened.
The final 15 minutes saw Midhurst replace Jamie Angell with Lawrence Hyde.
Luke Sheldrick scored for Midhurst before Norgate put Midhurst into the lead.

Hide AdBut a strike by Oliver Rowland for Wick denied the visitors the win.
On Saturday Midhurst visit Mile Oak in the league, then next Tuesday they have a Division 2 Cup match under the Oakwood lights.
