Six fire engines are tackling a blaze at a West Dean commercial building.
A spokesman for the fire service confirmed crews are at the scene off Chilgrove Road in West Dean.
He added: “Joint Fire Control was alerted to the incident at 9.12pm and mobilised fire crews from Bognor Regis, Chichester, East Wittering and Midhurst to the scene along with Hampshire FRS crews from Bordon and Emsworth and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Southsea.
“We would urge people to avoid the area for the time being while the incident is brought under control.”
