LITTLEHAMPTON’S mayor has opened a new swimming pool in the town.

Councillor Jill Long has cut the ribbon on the Aqualife Swim School at the Littlehampton Marina, in Ferry Road.

The centre is run by Jane Viljoen and offers a range of small classes for children. Jane, who has been teaching for ten years and was a former member of the England South swim team, said: “I believe that swimming is such a life skill that all children should learn, especially those who live near rivers and beaches – like Littlehampton.”

The school offers a range of classes, from parent-infant sessions, children’s classes and private tuition. For details, see www.aqualifeswim.co.uk or call 07821 119928.
