Pupils were in for a shock at Steyning Primary School as they had to abide by Victorian rules, with punishment by cane or dunce’s cap if they misbehaved.

Year-six pupils at the school in Shooting Field took a trip through time, dressing up as chimney sweeps and suffragettes to learn about the Victorian era.
